“There is a moment when I am awakened by the mental violence of the alarm, I cannot tell if I’m in my apartment, the fire station, or even in the now.”

This project resides here, in the chronic gap between “start(led)” and emergent recollection.  It sides with the alarmist moment to distend its 8 seconds of dissonance into a game of recalibration. Rescaling singular heroics into the collective and situational, relativities prevail. Programmatic mis-scales are invoked and missed-perception allows a once familiar civic body to find new edges of both formal and personal accommodation.
